ELLEN VON UNWERTH
She was born in 1954 in Frankfurt, Germany.
In 1975, she moved to Paris, where she worked as a model for 10 years.
In 1986, she decided to move behind the camera, becoming a fashion and advertising
photographer.
Ironic and provocative yet always elegant and sensual, her photographs have appeared in the
world’s leading fashion magazines.
Besides photography, Von Unwerth also directs short films and music videos.
