CLAUDIO CARAMEL

Claudio Palmi Caramel was born into a family of poets, artists, architects and sailors in Padua (1957), where he still lives and works.  In 1983, he graduated in architecture and opened a studio organised as a workshop, open to outside collaborations.  In the field of architecture, he has developed over 100 products relating to a vast assortment of architectural genres.

During his twenty years in the profession, Claudio Caramel has been developing his expertise by working in industrial design:  from Bompiani kitchens to RDS handles, Roncato suitcases to Open Kristallux bathroom fittings, from the unknown yet ingenious strap case designed and patented for Morellato to the legendary Lavazza espresso cup, a company for which he has created another 40 products for the Ho.Re.Ca. sector:  ash trays, clocks, light signs and trays.
He also works in the field of art design, in other words producing a huge range of unique pieces, designed and produced for himself and for various clients:  coat hooks, consoles, chairs, tables, kitchen worktops and even a boat.
